An extremely rare Pierre Jeanneret swinging lounge chair, circa1955. From Chandigarh. Similar examples illustrated p 278, 323, 557    « Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, l’aventure indienne » by E. Touchaleaume, G. Moreau, Edition Gourcuff Gradenigo / Galerie 54   2010. This is a museum piece in beautiful condition. Before restoration, the seat was attached to the back legs and supported, in order to prevent it from swinging! It was carefully detached and returned to original. Some of the chain which was heavily corroded was replaced and the weaving refurbished. Wear consistent with age and use.
