A rare and precious set of black ebonised boxes / containers designed by Gianfranco Frattini and crafted by Pierluigi Ghianda for Progetti 1974 - 1988 - signed underneath -
solid black bent wood concentric segments and silvered rim, 
the amazing quality is typical of Ghianda's work.
a set of 5 boxes:

15cm (5.90") high x 12.5cm (4.92") diameter
15cm (5.90") high x 16.5cm (6.49") diameter (small chip to the internal rim of the cover that can only be seen when the box is open)
15cm (5.90") high x 22.5cm (8.85") diameter

13cm (5.11") high x 16.5 (6.49") diameter
and the largest box at 11cm (4.33") high x 30.5cm (12") diameter

some blemishes, scratches and light indentations. wear and tear consistent with age and use.
